September is shaping up to be quite swell at 3 Kings Tavern in Denver.
Starting next week, the venerable south Broadway venue is set to host a pair of residencies that make the idea of staying out late on a school night seem entirely reasonable.
On Tuesday, September 6, the Empress of Wyoming herself, Ms. Eryn DeSomer of the Jekylls and the Holyfelds, is slated to start her residency, which will run through the entire month of September and culminate with a cameo from Porter & the Bluebonnet Rattlesnakes from Alabama.
On Wednesday, September 7, meanwhile, the beloved Fasano brothers, Vinny (aka Vincent Cheap) and Charly (aka City Mouse), will be kicking off their month-long run at the Kings with the mighty and masterful Munimula, along with some of Charly's movie shorts and some special guests.
Speaking of special guests, all month after that, the twins will be joined by an array of awesome artists, including Joy Subtraction, Micah Schnabel of Two Cow Garage, Rachel Pollard, and Cory Call of Arliss Nancy.
Both of these 3 Kings Tavern residencies are free. DeSomer’s dates are set to start at 6 p.m. every Tuesday, and the CVVC (Charly Vinny Vinny Charly) shows are slated to start at 10 p.m. every Wednesday.
